I actually think this phrase fits LakePAWse exceptionally well.
At LakePAWse, we believe dogs need connection—but connection doesn’t have to mean constant excitement.
Our caregivers interact with dogs throughout the day using calm voices, gentle affection, positive reinforcement and thoughtful body language. We pay attention not only to what dogs are doing, but to their level of arousal and how our own behavior influences the environment.
Sometimes the best interaction is play. Sometimes it is a gentle “good job.” Sometimes it is a quiet touch. And sometimes the best thing we can give a dog is the opportunity to simply rest beside us.
